Since the apartment in Santa Maria di Castello looks out on the side street Salita Inferiore Santa Maria di Castello, the immediate view straight out the window is of this building. Leaning slightly forward, however, you see the port and the Mediterranean Sea. (This picture was taken on a rainy day, but in better weather you can see more.)

The apartment is ideally placed for visits to many excellent lunch and/or dinner locations. Directly behind it is Da Rina, where President Pertini dined whenever he visited Genoa.
